A tiny country has a ton of things to do and see. Helsinki, the capital city is enveloped by the beautiful islands.
It just takes a few minutes to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and get to one of the 300 plus islands around Helsinki. Though, Helsinki itself is not as hurly-burly as capital cities all across the world are.
Finnish Lapland is wild and beautiful. As you get close to the Arctic region, the air becomes pure, and lush forests become your consistent friends. Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland is the official home of the man in red – Santa Claus. It thus makes for a perfect destination to travel with kids.
Porvoo is another hidden gem in Finland. It looks like a fairytale town with all those colorful rows of houses and shops. Porvoo Old town is so charming that you’d want to pack it and bring it back home as a souvenir.
A little away from Porvoo is the island of Klovharu, in the Pellinki archipelago. It’s fondly known as the Moomin Island as it was the home of Tove Jansson, Finland’s beloved writer, artist, and an illustrator who created Moomins.
Our travel guide to Finland aims to help you plan an amazing trip to Finland with ease by using our recommendations, tips, tricks, and hacks for the Finland Travel.
