From the pretty towns of Tawang, Tezu, Roing, Bomdila, Dirang, Pasighat, Along, Bhalukpong, Mechuka, Daporijo, to the nature parks of Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary, Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary, and Namdapha National Park, to the high-altitude passes of Sela Pass and Bumla Pass, to the beautiful attractions of Madhuri Lake and Nuranang Falls – The Land of Dawnlit Mountains is sure to sweep you off your feet!

There are 26 indigenous tribes and 100-plus sub-tribes in Arunachal Pradesh. We were lucky enough to meet two of such lovely tribes – Nyishi and Apatani while we attended the Nyokum Yullo Festival in 2018.

The Nyishi Tribe celebrates Nyokum Yullo, a pre-harvesting festival, every year in Yazali with great fervor.

Apatani tribe calls Ziro Valley their homeland. Ziro is a beautiful and quaint little town in Arunachal Pradesh. It’s now quite famous all across the world for its epic Ziro Festival of Music that takes place around September every year.

The best time to visit this mesmerizing Indian state is from October to April.
