Getting to Ayvalik is a piece of baklava (sorry, I couldn’t resist!)

The nearest airport is in Edremit (about a 30-minute drive away), and the nearest International airport is in Izmir (a little more than a 2-hour drive).
Once you land, car rentals, taxis, and even dolmuÅŸ (shared taxis) are available.
Additionally, Buses from all over Turkey pull into this charming town, making it super accessible no matter where you’re coming from.
Whether you’re journeying from famous cities like Istanbul, Izmir, and Ankara or lesser-known spots, there’s a good chance you’ll find a direct bus route to Ayvalik.
There are also regular ferry services to and from Lesbos, Greece.
